About

Hello! My name is Dennison Uy. I am CODESIGN Studios, and this is my blog.

Some facts about me:

I was born on June 10, 1980 which makes me a Gemini under the western Zodiac and a Monkey under the Chinese Zodiac.

I am 100% Chinese by blood and ancestry, but was born and raised in the Philippines by naturalized Chinese parents.

I love music. I listen to everything. My motto is to listen to music for the sake of music.

I am passionate about cars. Particularly the ones that look the coolest to me personally (doesn’t matter how fast or how expensive they are). I prefer Japanese cars, such as the Toyota Celica, Nissan 350Z, Mitsubishi Eclipse, Acura RSX, Hyundai Coupe (aka Hyundai Tiburon).

Though I appreciate automobile setups and pretty looking cars, I only spend for car maintenance and none for aesthetics. If I wanted a good looking car, I’d just buy one of the above and keep everything stock.

The name of my Honda Civic is ZERO. He is the first car under my name that I have paid for in full with my own money.

I currently use Audio-Technica ATH-T33 cans to listen to high fidelity music, which does the job quite decently, though one day I hope to own a mid-high end Sennheiser or maybe a Grado.

I prefer playing music over loudspeakers in a room rather than listening to music over headsets. Though I am often irked at how even the most expensive speakers can not even come close to the sound quality produced by a decent pair of cans.

I maintain a list of my favorite POP artists here.

The title of my blog “Life, The Universe, And Everything” comes from the Douglas Adams series “Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy”, to which the answer to the question of the meaning of life is “42″, which pretty much explains how I personally view life: Life is not the question but the answer to the question of existence, of everything.

I love Science Fiction, especially short stories. My favorite authors are: Isaac Asimov, Philip K. Dick, and Neal Stephenson. I also love the works of Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle.

I run a small store, a franchise of The Tea Square (I made this site as well). It is located in 2/F Festival Supermall, Alabang Muntinlupa City.
