A day in the life of an audio visual junkie
15 Oct
So I can’t fly nor can I crawl up and swing between tall buildings, but I’ve always wanted to help save the world in every small way I could. This post is for our Mother Earth.
The need to save the world. I am sure you all feel it too. The extremely hot days keep getting hotter, while the extremely cold nights keep getting colder. Snow and hail in temperate areas. Ice caps melting. The ozone layer thinning.
It’s so easy to say that the earth still has a long way to go. We are all safe for now, and catastrophe is far off in the future. But what about our future generations?
Oh screw them! When the time comes, technology will be so advanced that they’ll be able to predict earthquakes, stop volcanic eruptions, nuke an incoming meteor into smithereens, and we will be flying around in cars and jet packs. Technology will be so advanced that they will be able to stop any catastrophic event and destroy alien armies.
Maybe in the future we would have already been able to colonize other planets! So, should our earth be in danger we can all just take a trip to the nearest colony and eat alien plants and animals for dinner.
Or maybe you some of us have no plans to have any children, so let’s all live a glorious single life without a care in the world.
Or maybe in the future the earth would be a barren planet, with very few survivors, if any, cursing the past generations for every day of their miserable life. Thank goodness they already figured out how to make a time machine which they plan to use to go back to the past to issue a warning and kick our butts.
It’s so easy to turn a blind eye to everything and joke about it but the truth cannot be ignored, and it is affecting us all, even killing some of us, little by little. You can wait it out and live a blissfully ignorant life, or do your part and take action in whatever small ways you could. I will continue doing mine for sure. How about you? The choice is yours.

I work for Cox Enterprises and saw that you participated in Blog Action Day. I thought you might be interested in visiting www.CoxConserves.com. The site details Cox’s commitment to the environment and offers tips on how anyone can become eco-friendly.
