So my college buddy Sacha Chua sends out an e-mail via LinkedIn wanting to know more about my highlights for 2008 as well as my plans for 2009. I won’t include the original e-mail in this post since you can head over to the full blog post which details everything plus photos and of course that neat little chart she came up with.
So anyway I thought it was a very neat idea, so I’m sharing with you my 2008 highlights and 2009 plans.
Without further ado, here are my highlights for the year 2008:
- closed my dying 3 year old business (finally)
- doubled my salary (from 2007)
- moved to a larger company
- took part in some very large projects (frigging NDA won’t let me say what)
- took photography more seriously
- invested in the stock market
- invested in property
- visited the U.S. for the first time (did not have enough time to go to Disney or Ocean Park though)
- improved my diet and overall health and slimmed down (without exercise!)
- built better relationships with family, relatives, friends and others
- winning (and loosing!) in a singing and dancing competition
For 2009, I’m looking forward to:
- getting back into outdoor or water recreation (hiking, mountain climbing or scuba diving)
- improving and making a profit out of photography
- either going back into business or doubling my salary
- improving my time management skills
- improving my money management skills and applying it in both the personal and corporate world
- toning my body (going to try to get back my rockin’ high school physique)
- improve myself cosmetically (get rid of skin discoloration and eyebags)
- improve my sleeping / resting habits
- investing in raw land
- visiting an Asian country
- getting rid of my braces (been wearing them for almost 2 years and I still hate them)
- better stress management
- getting back into playing a musical instrument more seriously
- taking up dancing lessons
- getting back into physical sports (swimming, ball sports or martial arts)
- realize one of my dream projects (I have a huge list of potentially fulfilling or revenue-generating projects I’d like to get up and running just never had the time to work on any of them)
How about yours? I’d love to hear your stories!
