Thank goodness I was able to gas up (with Petron) the day before the hike. And all the while there I was trying to drive conservatively … I did 10.6 kms to a liter last week on my 1.6 Honda Civic and all they had to was increase oil prices.

Now I’m REALLY starting to consider getting a condo in Makati. Sheesh!

Oil companies in the country implemented Saturday morning a P0.50 price increase in their petroleum products amid the spiraling costs of oil in the world market.

Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. implemented a P0.50 per liter increase in the prices of gasoline, diesel and kerosene midnight. Shell also raised the prices of its liquefied petroleum gas by P0.50 per kilogram.

Petron Corp and Total (Philippines) Corp followed suit by implementing a P0.50 per liter increase in the pump prices of their gasoline, diesel and kerosene products at 6 a.m. Saturday.
