In a one of a kind collaboration, Sarah Geronimo, Somedaydream and Gary Valenciano got together to record Coca-Cola Philippines’ hit anthem ‘Tuloy’. With lyrics that inspire positive energy in every Filipino, the song was revealed at the recently concluded Concert ng Bayan, where the three staged a live performance of the song. In case you missed it, great news: you can still catch the music video on television and on YouTube!

As of writing ‘Tuloy’ has already hit the number one spot on the Myx Daily Top 10, overtaking ‘Safe and Sound’ by Taylor Swift and ‘Moving Closer’ by Never The Strangers. On YouTube the video already has over 20 thousand hits.

“We made it! Of course, this wouldn’t have been possible without the help of the Filipinos, most especially the music-loving teens who keep voting and voting since the song debuted. It’s a happy day,” said Coca-Cola President for Happiness Caloy, who happily thanked everyone for their support. Much of the video’s success had to do with the voting, and grabbing the number one spot is no simple feat. If anything, the success of the song shows how well supported it was.

An inspirational journey

Among the many Coca-Cola anthems throughout the years, ‘Tuloy’ represents the beverage company’s 100 year presence, and does so quite well. It speaks of a generation’s journey through life – of hardships endured and of unending happiness. Through it all stands a partner, a friend, a family member to share the love and happiness with.

Sing along to the tune of ‘Tuloy’ by following the lyrics below!

Tuloy
Performed by Sarah Geronimo, Somedaydream and Gary Valenciano

Verse 1 (Sarah):
Kahit na anong mangyari
Ang lungkot ay mapapawi
Buksan na ang saya
Malilimutan ang problema

Verse 2 (Gary):
Di ka na mag-iisa
Sasamahan ka san magpunta
Sasabay sa pag-ikot
Mundo’y makulay
Hayaan mong mabigyan ng saya ang iyong buhay

Bridge:
Sa harap at likod
Kaliwa at kanan ko
Hintayin mo lang
Di magtatagal
Mararanasan mo

Chorus:
Tuloy lang ang saya
Tuloy lang ang ligaya
Tuloy lang talaga
Kaibigan at pamilya

Iwanan na ang lungkot
Iwanan na ang inis
Basta’t habang naririto ako
Tuloy ang happiness

Tuloy-tuloy
Tuloy and happiness

Verse 3 (Somedaydream):
Saan ka man naroroon
Sa gitna ng noon
At ng ngayon
Sumisigaw, umaapaw, nangingibabaw

Repeat bridge
Repeat chorus 2x

Outro:
Tuloy-tuloy wooh (3x)
Tuloy-tuloy (3x)

Tuloy-tuloy wooh (tuloy ang happiness) (3x)
Tuloy-tuloy (3x)

Tuloy-tuloy wooh (tuloy ang happiness) (3x)
Tuloy-tuloy (3x)

Happiness: uniquely Filipino

If there was one trait that is truly Filipino, it is our ability to find happiness amidst hardships and difficulties. Often the phrase “mababaw ang kaligayan” gets thrown around, reminding us of this unique trait. There is no English equivalent for the phrase, but a direct translation would roughly be “shallow happiness”. It allows us to stay grounded and find joy in the most mundane things.
