“F” is funky. “F” is fresh. “F” is the latest food joint to hit Bonifacio Global City. Located strategically at the fifth floor of the Best Western Premier F1 Hotel, The “F” Cafe promises to deliver flavorful food made from the finest ingredients for that one-of-a-kind buffet experience.
A feast of Filipino and foreign dishes await diners. For the meat lovers, the chefs at F has come up with their own version of the Filipino lechon (roast pork) which comes with a special sauce. The standard sweet, liver-based lechon sauce is also available for the not so adventurous.
The F Cafe has a good selection of Asian dishes. I had a lot of fun with the deep-fried mantou, a type of Chinese bun similar to siopao. The pork asado and lechon Macau are quite good. Also worth mentioning are the King Du spare ribs and Yang Chow fried rice.
In the Western cuisine section, the roast beef must not be missed. Equally delightful is the fresh sea food bar which also features cold cuts, fruits, and sushi.
Of course, no dining experience is complete without desserts. The blueberry cheesecake was particularly good, which came in bite size pieces. Those who are craving for gelato may also have it prepared as a crepe garnished with nuts and fruits.
What about the ambiance?
The F Cafe features a modern, well-lit, comfortable area. An alfresco area is available for those prefer a breath of fresh air. Stay-in guests will be happy to know that the alfresco area is right beside the pool, so they can relax and dine at the same time.
A feast-ival await visitors of the F Cafe! Remember: F stands for: Fantastic, Flavorful Food located at the Fifth Floor of the F1 Hotel in Fort Bonifacio.
Before we end I would like to commend F1 Premier Hotel’s General Manager, Chad Davis for his excellent customer service. He was a very hands-on person who personally makes the effort to ensure gusts have a good time. When I broke one of their serving trays by accident, he was the first to console me and tell me that it was okay. I would have been more embarrassed if no one went to help me out! But what he did next really surprised me — he started picking up the broken pieces of the tray! He did it all quickly and all by himself. He knows his staff is busy and he did not ask for anyone’s help! I was really moved by this gesture, and told him that he was setting a good example. I also learned later that when he saw one of my companions eating with the wrong spoon he personally fetched a spoon for her. Such a classy guy he is!
Update (2011-11-17): Correction: F Cafe is located at the FIFTH floor of Best Western Premier F1 Hotel. Thank you Ms. Thess Samaniego for calling this to my attention.
