It was only a year ago when Filipino talents Joel Cruz and Lyda Shyla Roxas shined at the Karaoke World Championships (KWC) 2011 held in Ireland. Although neither contestant won the championship, both managed to reach top five. Joel Cruz missed almost bagged the crown, losing only to champion Marc Hatem of Lebanon.
