Do K-Pop dreams come true? Even for Filipino fans? Yes, they actually can through the tvN K-Pop Star Hunt! Take the case of three Pinoy teens who made their K-Pop dreams come true. Last year, 1,500 Philippine entries were submitted for the first K-Pop Star Hunt, and 100 were shortlisted for the local auditions. Everybody gave their best during the auditions, but only three stood out from the rest: Rince Cajucom and twins Charlene Albino and Charmaine Albino. They say two heads are better than one (in their case, two voices are better than one), so the judges decided to use the wildcard and accepted both Charlene and Charmaine.
In Korea, Rince, Charlene and Charmaine, along with other finalists worked hard during their training. And it paid off especially for Rince, who finished as runner up and got to live his dream of being a K-Pop star, performing in front of a large international crowd and proving once again the Filipinos’ singing prowess making the Filipinos proud. Rince currently performs around the country in different KPop events and was even invited to be a judge at a local Kpop competition recently.
This year, it’s your time to make your K-Pop dreams come true as tvN, CJ Entertainment & Media and CUBE Entertainment have opened the doors once more through the K-Pop Star Hunt 2! Just submit your best K-Pop videos at www.tvnstarhunt2.com for a chance to get to the final cut and local audition. But here’s the catch! This year, walk-ins will be allowed to try their luck at the semi – final auditions venue. So if you weren’t able to submit your video on time, or didn’t make it to the final cut, you’ll still get your chance to show what you’ve got in front of the judges!
The deadline of entry submission here in the country is on September 4, and details of the final audition will be announced soon. Just follow @tvnstarhunt2ph on twitter.com to get the latest news and updates about the Philippine audition.
